Ashleigh has over 20 years experience working as a psychologist assisting individuals of all ages. She is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI) and a registered Supervisor with AHPRA in the fields of Counselling Psychology and Educational and Developmental Psychology. Ashleigh is committed to helping individuals and their families enjoy happy and balanced lives.

Ashleigh has extensive experience working within both the public and private sectors providing assessment, counselling, medico-legal reports, professional supervision, team leadership, corporate education and training programs.

Ashleigh’s therapeutic style is client-led, holistic and compassionate.  She believes in treating the whole person; tailoring psychological therapy and working alongside clients to promote a shared responsibility and trust in the therapeutic process. Ashleigh assists her clients to feel safe and nurtured, trusting in the confidential nature of what they share and creating the opportunity for meaningful, lasting change. 

Ashleigh has worked extensively with children and adolescents to assist in assessing a range of educational learning difficulties including Intellectual Disability, Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD. Ashleigh has facilitated a number of workshops for parents focused on assisting children and adolescents with anxiety, social skills training, ADHD, ODD and behavioural difficulties. Ashleigh has also worked extensively with children and adolescents with complex trauma, assisting both the individual and family support members.

Ashleigh works within a trauma informed framework and draws on a combination of techniques to assist individuals to develop healthy and meaningful relationships at home, in the community and the workplace. Ashleigh is a passionate advocate for the strength and resilience of the human brain, that throughout our lives our brains continue to rewire and change when we apply ourselves to learning and practicing new functional ways of seeing and experiencing the world.

Ashleigh has worked extensively with individuals who have experienced post traumatic stress disorder, complex childhood trauma, sexual abuse, and borderline personality disorder. Ashleigh is driven to support individuals to reprocess traumatic events and assist them with softening negative beliefs, thoughts, emotions and physical sensations related to the traumatic events, enabling individuals to heal from the pain and impact of traumatic events and to live a life with the opportunity to flourish.  

Ashleigh offers therapy for a broad range of psychological and emotional issues, depression, anxiety, panic, worry and stress, adjustment, coping with chronic illness, pain management, emotional regulation, trauma, and interpersonal problems.

Ashleigh is provisioned with Medicare, NSW Work Cover, Qld Work Cover, NSW Dept of Education and Training. Teaching registration QLD.
